Pros and cons of private schools

Now briefly summarize the main advantages of private school.

Individual approach. In a municipal school, according to the norms of sanitary and epidemiological station, there should be no more than 25 people in each class – but it is almost impossible to comply with these norms in large cities. In private schools, the composition of classes is much smaller, which allows for a maximum individual approach to each child and leave no one unattended.

Personnel. Like any commercial structure, a private secondary school values its reputation, so there is a particularly strict approach to staffing. Such institutions employ only experienced teachers, who have professional awards and are true experts in their field.

Technical and material resources. Organization of education, life and leisure on the territory of a private school (and students’ safety, of course) is only rarely comparable with the level of public schools. Here you can be sure that at biology lessons your child will have a microscope, after class he will play on a safe playground, and for lunch he will not be served overcooked fish or unpalatable tea.

Another big plus for parents of preschoolers: 49% of private schools have a daycare center.

And a little bit about the cons. The key disadvantage of studying at a private school is, of course, the cost of tuition. Depending on the terms of the contract the price of education in private school may vary each year. But even if it remains the same, it is worth bearing in mind that the financial situation of the family may suddenly deteriorate, which means that the child will have to go to public school, to get used to the order of which will be difficult.
